Is this the world's first emo robot?

This is Pepper a humanoid robot developed by Japanese mobile phone company
Softbank. It is quite an amazing piece of technology considering it will be
available for purchase to the public in Japan this year,ie it's not just for research.
From what I understand Pepper will be available to the U.S market in the near future.
I for one would love to get my hands on this super cool robot.

Pacific Rim Trailer 2 Official - Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam

I am curently working on a short sci fi novel and hope to publish it on Amazon soon. Being a graphic designer and digital artist, I have always been fascinated by the science fiction genere. I have followed all greats ie, Star Wars series, Star Trek as well as the current hits such as Tron II, Avatar, Ironman and Pacific Rim. My past works have included many sci fi illustrations involving mechs, robots and fantastic worlds. Most recently, I have become interested in moving into manga and comic book art. The works of artists such as Takeshi Obata and many of the art works for Marvel comic series are skillfully and beautifully depicted. I hope to be able to emulate the greats and possibly come up with my own original characters and story lines.

This is a manga scene I created as a practice piece.
I call it Tokyo Shonen Manga Boom.

Tobor The 8th Man Opening Theme Song

As a child, I can recall comming home from school and tuning into my favorite manga cartoons such as Astro boy, Gigantor and Tobor the 8th man which was my favorite. I used to love to draw this character and did so every chance I had.

I've watched  manga and anime as it developed through the years. Today I have seen how the art of manga has evolved, with new artists such as Takeshi Obata and many other successors to the greats like Osamu Tezuka creator of Astro boy known in Japan as Testuwan Atomu. I am amazed at the skill and artistry of today's manga artists. As a graphic designer myself, I studied both Illustration and graphic design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. I have recently become interested in manga art myself and aspire to create manga comics. Hopefully one day I too can put together and publish a series of interesting and captivating manga comics like the popular artists of today.

If anyone has comments or words of wisdom, please post them. They will be greatly appreciated.
