On this shirt, I decided to experiment with the rising sun image and clip it into the word bushido. I thought it would look very cool and have some impact by placing the design vertically. I hope you like it.

Heres another tee I created with the rising sun emblem. I wanted to give it an interesting texture instead of just leaving it flat.

I created this design for a t-shirt. I thought it would look cool with the rising sun clipped into the Japan graphic.

Now that the olympics are here, my attention is once again focused on the games. It is still weak one of the games and my anticipation for the track and field events grows with each passing day. Week two begins the t and f competition and the sprint events, my favorite, should be an exciting duel against defending 100, 200 meter champ Usain Bolt and the U.S sprinter Tyson Gay. Gay who has already beaten Bolt (the world record holder in 100m /200m) in a previous competition should give the champ a run for his money.
I enjoy the sprint events for the pure athleticism and raw beauty and power of the althletes. Being an artist, I see beauty and visual dynamism in the sprinting events. My favorite is the 200 meters, especially the first half of the race as the runners round the turn and build tremendous speed comming out into the straight away. When I was a student at Art Center, one of my favorite subjects in the drawing and illustration classes was representing track athletes in my compositions. I love drawing the human body in dynamic motion, I think a well conditioned athletic physique in the one of the most beautiful sights.
